- Blocked or misaligned photo-eyes: a leaf, box, or knocked sensor breaks the beam — the door refuses to close as a safety measure.

- Close-limit setting off: the opener thinks the door is already closed.
- Track obstruction or debris stopping the door’s path.
- Remote/wall-button fault sending no signal.

- Clear the doorway and wipe both sensor lenses clean.
- Look at the sensor LEDs — both should glow solid. A blinking light means they’re misaligned; gently nudge one until both go solid.
- Check for obstructions in the tracks.
- Test the wall button vs the remote to isolate the source.
A Safety Note
The photo-eye sensors are a federally required safety feature — never disable or bypass them. If the sensors are solid and clear but the door still won’t close, the close-limit or logic board likely needs adjustment, which is a job for a technician.
